The ideal candidate will be an excellent leader and will have experience in managing staff of different disciplines to produce results in a timely manner. They will also be able to develop efficient strategies and tactics. The goal is to ensure that all programmes deliver the desirable outcome to our organisation and to reinforce best practices in planning and estimating. Drive business and customer value results through alignment with Customer requirements, Technical Leads, DevOps and Customer Support.

This role requires the individual to have worked within an external Project Delivery role ideally within a SaaS environment with an understanding of both Agile & Waterfall software development methodologies.

The successful candidate will be a key player in managing major delivery programmes for Vindex and its customers, as well as supporting organisational transformation and other key initiatives throughout the business, as the company grows.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Own a customer portfolio of projects and formulate, organize and manage their interconnected relationships.
  • Own and manage the external relationship at both Executive, Program and Project Level for delivery.
  • Ensure appropriate program & project governance, customer statement of works, schedules, tasks, activities and ensuring project success criteria are defined and agreed with stakeholders
  • Lead, motivate project team to ensure they understand deliverables, timelines and contribution
  • Apply change, risk and resource management – and negotiate change with external stakeholder
  • Assess programme performance and aim to maximise ROI
  • Owns the resolution of complex program and project issues across the business, leveraging stakeholder relationships.
  • Manage the software and support team to ensure operational compliance on a zero downtime software platform
  • Act in the capacity of Project Manager as required.
Knowledge and Experience:

  • Extensive experience in a similar role
  • University Degree or equivalent experience
  • ITIL qualified
  • Solid experience leading major delivery programmes within a commercial customer facing environment
  • Must be able to support/track a collection of projects concurrently; from concept through close, that contribute to one or more portfolios for the company
  • Has sound knowledge of software development life-cycle, people management, business processes, and customer service
  • Displays ownership, high quality and completeness of deliverables
  • Self-motivated and driven; must be able to execute with little to no daily supervision
  • Support monthly/quarterly/annual service reviews with the client
  • PMI/PMP, PRINCE2 or MS Project Certifications are a plus
  • Prior experience in implementing best practices, governance, process improvement
  • Excellent man-management and motivational skills; both written and verbal
  • Strong client management and negotiation skills – able to broker win-win outcomes
