Role Purpose:

This is a home-based role with travel to customer sites. This is a multi-disciplined role, which will include project engineering, maintenance and servicing of CCTV, Access Control and Intruder Alarm, ANPR (Fire Detection, Alarms and Associated Systems). This will involve visiting customer sites and as such the individual must be customer focused at all times. The individual must be prepared to work within and as part of a team, be able to interact with colleagues, clients and other trades in a professional and tactful manner, and in doing so present a positive image of the Company. The ideal candidate will be well presented with excellent customer service and troubleshooting skills and the ability to communicate effectively both externally and internally across the business.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Testing of installed systems
  • Making improvements to and offering advice on operational procedures
  • Scheduling and co-ordinating work to tight deadlines
  • Ensuring that equipment works to its specification
  • Carrying out test procedures
  • Investigating problems, diagnosing / repairing faults
  • Troubleshooting
  • Liaising with Installation and Project Engineers, Commissioning Engineers and Project Managers
  • Supervising engineering and technical staff
  • Writing reports and documentation
  • Providing technical support
  • Training maintenance and operational staff where appropriate
  • Taking ownership for the resolution of issues, monitoring progress and applying the escalation procedure as necessary
  • To ensure consistent delivery of high quality services to end client
  • Ensuring client satisfaction remains the top priority
  • This role will involve a degree of manual handling and working at Height, as well as the use of hand and power tools.

Key Competencies:

  • Experience in the Security Industry or related environment an advantage.
  • Good knowledge Windows Operating Systems
    • Windows 7-10
    • Windows Server 2012 – 2016
  • Linux Operating Systems (Not Essential)
  • Database Skills desirable (SQL/MYSQL)
  • Efficient and organised approach to workload
  • Ability to set expectations and communicate results
  • Commitment to delivering excellent customer service
  • Desire to share knowledge within a team environment
  • Good working knowledge of Health and Safety issues
