Case Study

This construction project was secured by Vindex Systems in a competitive tender process during 2010. The Four Seasons Hotel in Park Lane is a flagship hotel for the group where regular high level dignitaries stay and expect the very best service across all aspects of the hotel.

Customer: Four Seasons Hotel

Project: Hotel Security Systems

Completion Date: 2011

Value: £700k

Integrated CCTV, Access Control and Video Entry System

The project was completed during a refit of the hotel where it remained shut for over 18 months. The investment is intended to capitalise on the influx of tourists for the Olympics and recognises that the security systems must be to the highest levels based upon the security threats that exist now and that are expected to continually grow. The solution was designed by Vindex systems with the above in mind and has proven worthy of the investment in many instances during the first year of hotel operation.
The system is an integrated CCTV and access solution. The access control manages access through all back of house doors (210 doors) using C*Cure 9000 and a fully networked IP CCTV solution running in excess of 220 cameras covers all areas of the hotel including both front of house, back of house and externally. The solution design links to a number of different camera manufacturers to suit varying application requirements in one seamless solution managed via a Milestone Video Management System.

With a contract value of £700k the project delivery spanned 18 months and required significant coordination with different trades to ensure it was on time and to the highest standards of quality befitting this 5* Hotel.
